What is everyones opinion on this, should,nt they have built it away from residential areas as i know that is is causing a lot of upset from the people living there due to the anti social behaviour of some young people, the park or the estate where moorcroft is would have been better ......................opinion please |

Isn't the park near residential areas? Or is it a case of "not in my back yard".
As usual it's the few who spoil it for the many! |

The park is near residential areas but you would have to kick the ball a long way to find it in someones back garden 6/7 times a day, encouraging some youngersters to climb into peoples gardens without asking to retrieve their ball. The authorities and mayor promised a net to stop this, not happened yet. |

I would suggest that you try our THREE district councillors for the nets, Messers Mallinson, Naylor, and Kelly. All their e-mail addresses are on here. Alternatively you can ask for a public adjournment to raise your problem in the Town Council which meets on the first Thursday of each month. If you're lucky the district councillors will also be there. |

All 3 involved they are arguing who should pay Holfield or the council, we did invite them to have their meeting in the garden so they could witness first hand |

I am sure that nobody doubts you, but why should Hothfield pay?
The MUGA was a a result of a grant obtained by a group. A management group was set up to run it, consisting of representatives of various groups.
It is not the exclusively responsibility of the school, but is shared by Youth Services etc.
As I recall at the recent Town Meeting the Bradford Rep, who liked to give the fine speech on listening to the prople of Silsden, promised action. Where is that action, was it all just Bradford PR?
All three local District Councillors are members of the "ruling" party in Bradford, if they can't pull a few strings to sort it, who can? |

Multi Use Games Area
I suggest we should get away from the connections the acronym cunjures up and rename the place. As the area incorporates the Youth Centre I think it should be called "The Centre" |

"phill", can I ask what may seem a silly question?
There is quite obviously a serious problem, but are the balls being hit in to gardens etc from inside the MUGA or generally from the playing fields? |

Inside the MUGA, about 6/7 youths aged 16-17 confronted them no police back up, we are taking this further |
