At about 9.35 a JODA wagon had gone into the back of a Peugeot and it went into the back of another car just before the roundabout southbound. When I got to the accident the ambulance crew were trying to get a women out of the Puegeot and onto a stretcher. Hope she is ok, she was awake and had a neck collar on.

for the person who was moaning above...
it was my mum who was invovled in this accident, and sorry to be a pain however, she cant help the fact a big 44 ton joda wagon slammed in to the back of her and sent her flying in to another car. The reason why the joda truck was still there is because he was taken by the police (who you say weren't there) and charged.
My mum had to be cut out of her car and has now spent the whole weekend in hospital in severe pain and its been horrific for us all...
So sorry it affected your day, however just bare a thought for the families who have been involved and had to deal with it before you post stupid innapropriate comments on here

Befor you string me up would you please read the post I made . " no othr cars , no police " I knew the person in the car had to be cut free & had been taken to hospital . At no point did I blame anybody in the cars involved for the delay , at no point did I say it was their fault .
When I drove past the wagon there was somebody in it reading a paper , there were no police present & there was no attempt being made to clear the road & get the traffic moving again .
Of course the first prioraty is to get anybody injured medical help & if needed taken to hospital
& the cause of the accident asertained . But as I said there were no cars at the scene so why wasn't the wagon removed at the same time !!! .
I say again at no time in my post did I blame the drivers of the cars involved but I did blame the authorities involved for not getting , or helping to get the traffic moving again as soon as posible .
So before everybody starts to vilify me just pause for a moment and think about the people who where delayed longer than needed & the fact that they may have been trying to get somewhere urgently .

I was one who was in the queue of traffic back to Silsden roundabout at 11.45am. I was going for day care surgery at BRI. so was quite worried about the problem. Thank goodness we had set off in good time as it took 45mins to get to the Keighley roundabout and all we saw was a parked lorry and a bit of debris so didn't know what had happened. It was made worse by people in the outside lane weaving in and out doing their best to get to the front. Thank goodness my son rang me on my mobile and I could tell him we were stuck. He rang ahead to the hospital and they booked me in a slot later, so at least I got my surgery done. Hope your mum is feeling better, it must have been very traumatic for her.

Police priority at any accident after any victims have been dealt with seems to be evidence gathering. For some reason this always takes ages it just seems to be tough luck on the rest of us.

I think it is just inefficiency of the part of the police. Maybe if we elect a Mayor for Bradford they might be made to get there fingers out.

Why don’t you blame Joda, it was there driver who caused the problem, it was probably them who were waiting for the recovery truck to turn up and remove the smashed up wagon, it’s only a guess but I would suspect that a front end shunt would have damaged the braking system causing the brakes to be locked on, so it couldn’t be moved without help.
There which would you prefer the police sitting around unable to do anything to help or move onto the next job?
As far as an elected mayor you must be joking! Just look at Doncaster and any of the other towns with one.

I do have a complaint with the police(not the incident) regarding this incident. It was obvious there was a traffic hold up I guess it was the police who told Radio Leeds travel news. So having queued to get into Keighley I was soon on my way back. The queue was just as long. At the Silsden end a police van was parked near the river bridge. Why couldnt they have diverted traffic through Steeton?.
