Been on holiday, so was lucky enough to avoid the first week of the roadworks - wouldn't have done if they had started on time but that's a different moan. Tried to turn into Clog Bridge after coming over the canal bridge twice today and both times the junction was blocked by some plonker queueing at the traffic lights. There was also somebody parked across the zebra crossing both times. Its already chaos down there - lets not make it worse. I'm sure its not any of you but just in case it is. Moan over. |

Same happened to me tonight and to make it matters worse it was the flippin park ranger...wait till he wants letting out again
Also, while we're moaning, why do white van drivers think that road signs don't apply to them? Some plonker came out of bottom of Elliot street yesterday, must have driven past at least 2 of the signs telling him it was closed. |

I saw 4 cars/vans go through the Elliot Street "road closed" signs in 2 minutes. They just ignore them, needs policing maybe? |

Signs have been in place for diversion along Elliot St. but nothing seems to be happening. Sat on the bench thursday evening and traffic still going through and entering. Dradishaw and Skipton Rd. have been very busy though. The lower end of Skipton Rd.has been quite manic when I've driven through. Must be a nightmare for people that live along the route. |

Yes, I think you can turn into Elliot Street but not come out of it so the buses aren't affected. |

Have just come back from Keighley. You can turn into Elliot St. but not come out into the main road from there. I assume it is because of the traffic along the main rd. being at a standstill, it is difficult to get across. Maybe to ease congestion. Although, there are still cars( sorry, people ) trying to get across, even with the diversion signs in place. |

people have to remember i have a shop at the bottom of elliott street and customers who can use elliott street have the right to access to my shop hopefully more people will do the same now i am doing school uniforms as for pulling out of the end of elliott street the road is closed so the buses can get round as people often park and congest the road preventing buses turning and the road is open at the bottom end of elliott street as long as you are going up and not trying to get out onto the main road. also you talk about policing elliott street that happened today but no one takes any notice as there was a community officer trying to stop cars coming down elliott street people must drive with there eyes shut as he was ignored more than once |

Does anyone know how the Fire Engine gets out onto Kirkgate and then over the canal bridge?? Seems very dangerous to me. Why don't they re-locate down at the new Clubhouse until the roadworks have been completed? |

Fire Engines are allowed to turn out of Elliot Street. Obviously the bloke in the red car that did so earlier thought he was one too.
Nearly got knocked over earlier at the traffic lights - car pulled up as lights went orange, I started crossing and the bloke behind overtook and sped through. Its bad enough without numpties like these. |

Went so bloody fast I didn't - think the bloke on the traffic lights said they would have it on camera though. |

there are some stupid people about!! the number of people who are stopping in the queue on the zebra crossings is unbelievable, I nearly decided to walk straight over the bonnet of one today!! Can the town council push for the workmen to work weekends to get it done quicker? |

When some roadworks were carried out, can't remember when, but it resulted in traffic stopping in front of the Sykes Lane entrance the contractors painted a yellow box junction - worked a treat.
So why can't this be done at the Howden Road junction? |

Peter.....like this one, the paint is probably on order now! The simplest answers are always the best. And the new camera which is just above the junction can start paying for itself by logging the culprits, and sending out fixed penalty fines? |

One of the "Professional" drivers (ie a Taxi) blocked Howden Road this evening. Unfortunately I didn't get his number as he very kindly let me out in front of him |
