Congratulations to 'grandad' and his crew for the usual excellent display of CHRISTMAS lights in the town. Much better than the boring display of FESTIVE lights put up in Keighley by the politically mad Bradford! If you drove through Keighley just how would you know it was Christmas? Well done 'again 'grandad'!  |

I think there is a xmas tree near the bus stop in the memorial gardens it was planted a few years ago |

the blue cloudesque aray in memorial gardens is particularly good (btw the lights this year are going global) footage taking burnt to vcd and being sent to friends in alabama & bremen |

On behalf of the team who helped erect this years lights in Silsden, I would like to say thanks for all of the nice comments posted on this site. With regards to having a tree, yes there is one in the memorial gardens, it has been there for a fair few years now and it is growing very well, unfortunately before we can think of putting any lights on it we will need to get a fence round it and a power supply to the site, not a big problem you might think? And it might not be but for the fact we are dealing with Bradford council! We are working on them, but please don't hold your breath, hopefully it will happen some day, until then please make do with the imitation on the Con club balcony, and by the way it is up there to keep it out of the way of the vandals. A merry Christmas to all of the people of Silsden |
