Wonder if it is near to that red car that has been parked there all week.
Early this afternoon they was also a white car parked almost opposite to the red one and was causing traffic to cross the white centre lines in both directions! |

Police were there and the car right next to the golfcourse had remains of another car in front of it and spread across the road...but no other car present?? But that seems to be the only issue. Someone told me the ambulance was there earlier today. |

There were definitely 2 cars, one on each side of the road, that were both badly smashed in at the front. I walked past the debris having been unable to get up the road from the bypass so parked near the station and walked. |

She that our Red Corsa is still parking opposite the Golf Driving, despite this parking being the main cause of a head-on collision last week!!
Be interesting to know why the owner cannot park in the golf driving range or sports club car park to help save what by be someone's life! |

If it's taxed, tested and insured, there is nothing to stop it parking there it is not causing an obstruction, (nuisance yes.) |

Maybe not causing an obstruction, but when another car parks on the opposite side of the road then it really does become dangerous (as happened for the accident last Friday).
The police said they would keep an eye on things and offer advice to the owner!
Yes someone was injured and detained in Airedale.

If somebody else parks opposite the first car which was already parked, how can it be the fault of the first car driver? It is the second numpty that caused the obstruction, and even then with two cars parked opposite each other why should there have been a collision if the drivers had been driving at a speed were they could have stopped in the distance they could see to be clear? Driver need to take responsibility for their own actions and not just go blindly on always expecting the road to clear for them. |

In that case its time to reduce the speed limit from 40 to 20 on that stretch, as the police suggested.
That would really make it a snail's pace! Then we could all park right up to the bridge and back!!
Prevention always better than cure!! |

... there is nothing to stop it parking there it is not causing an obstruction... except for giving a damn that you are indeed causing a bit of a nuisance that could be avoided if you parked 10 yards away on the other side of the road, where most people with a clue park.
(not having a go at you Grandad, just pointing out that legal or not it's blooming thoughtless) |

Sorry but I agree with grandad, if it's legal to park there, then it's legal to park there. The fact that 'most people with a clue' choose to park opposite could be due to their using facilities on the other side. I fail to see the distinction between one car ( or three counting the two further down today) on one side or the many opposite on Sundays, if one is causing a nuisance surely the same applies. Beware though, someone with a liking for yellow lines and votes, could spoil it for everyone. |

Have to disagree, not everything that is legal is ok. An extreme example is abortion, legal in some circumstances but many are morally opposed to it.
This person is parking legaly but they are causing a bit of a nuisance when there is no need to do so.
If I were parking on that road I'd be sure to park on the same side as the majority of other cars so that I caused the least obstruction possible. On non-match-days there is plenty of room on the football club side.
It's all a matter of a) being aware of how your actions can affect others and b) if you are aware then whether you care or not. This person either doesn't realise or does realise but doesn't care anyway.
To summarize, either clueless or doesn't give a damn, like far too many people in many other aspects of life it would seem. |

Yellow lines will undoubtedly be the next step, particularly if or when they decide to charge for parking at the train station.
They will be cars galore on both sides of the road (and all parked within the law of course!!!) |

Once we start bringing morality into an argument it becomes pointless, there are people who believe playing sport on a Sunday is immoral. The ( pardon the pun) goal posts can be moved to suit.
You state there is no reason to park there, how do you know? Do you know the personal circumstances of the car user? They may have difficulty walking the distance from home to station.

WHY DOESM'T HE PARK IN THE STATION CAR PARK WHICH IS FREE AT THE MOMENT? Probably because ( and this is based on reason not morality) the station car park is full of boarder hoppers. |

Thank you Landrover for your support. As long has we have free will allowed in this country people will do things that annoy others! Get a life and live with it. Victor, Why do you always have to try and defend Bradford even when nobody else has said anything about them? |

Once again a lot of heated debate about a parking issue. Add this to previous blogs related to Tesco entrance, Aldi entrance, Elliot street junction, Town Hall crossing, parking in Kirkgate, Bell Square junction, Bolton Road parking... There is one common denominator - we are living in a town blighted by a main road running right through the heart. Answer - WE NEED A BY-PASS! This is the only way we can save our main street. |

Inconvenient parking is not just limited to the main road, Ings way is an accident waiting to happen, especially at the junction. There have been a few near misses as people are turning right into Ings way and people are trying to come out,in fact it was safer when there were roadworks there,no parking, and traffic lights! |
