Hello all you SAAGers, or is it SAAGys
I was just wondering, and if you haven't found this out yet it doesn't really matter, what is going to happen to the unadopted bit of Hillcrest?
I'm wondering because, althought it's not badly sunk down, there is quite a large area kind of outside the Sunnybank entrance and I imagine that would take quite of bit of repairing.
What's been done on the other bits? Has the cracked concrete been removed and the hole filled and tarmaced? I suppose I could go look but it's dark and cold out and I'm just cosy in my PJs here.
Thanks |

Hi jonno the unadopted part of Hillcrest is included in our SAAG fund raising and ultimate plan to get these two unadopted roads adopted by Bradford met. The co-op is responsible for the maintenance of their half of the road and pavements at the side[Hillcrest] and behind[Spencer ave]their premises. SAAG is in touch with co - op head office and have sent them photographs and quotes .Discussion is ongoing. The contractor we are using was recommended by the highways dept at Bradford met . The broken concrete is removed, muck excavated, limestone laid and compacted, existing concrete drilled and fixing bars inserted, reinforced mesh laid , concrete laid and expansion joints sealed . Does that answer your questions? I am sorry for delay in responding and would like to thank you for your support and everyone else who has supported us in anyway If you wish to become a member of SAAG please email me.katferndale@gmail.com. thank you |

Thanks for that Smiffykat, I did talk a walk up Spencer the other day and saw the new concrete but without you saying I wouldn't have known they'd re-enforced the concrete. I can see now why the cost is not cheap. |
