If you go down st Johns St there is private parking for Airedale Factors ,by the yellow line painted on the ground if you look over the small wall to the beck you can see the nest perched high above the water please dont disturb it |

a bloody cat would, just seen two dead chicks on the pavement by where I live, a cat must have got to the nest I have seen cats taking young birds back to where they live one used to do it next door to me it would bring them back to show its owners one day it dropping one by my door so I gave it the order of the boot never brought an other one back |

I love Silsden for such things as this, I have spent many a morning herding them back onto the pavement on Keighley Road and Kirkgate, it is quite amusing to see the traffic stopped for one or two little creatures. |

maybe we should have some signs please drive slow duck crossing like they have in addingham .lots of people come to visit silsden just to sit near the beck and feed the duck we are so luck to live in silsden it really is a lovely place . |

was there on the 12th but a lot of duckling heads were poking out from under mother duck so prob just waiting for last egg to hatch and away they went next day. |

Counted eight ducklings with Mummy duck at lunch time today, as you go over the beck (past the post office), they are on the right hand side. So cute! Little ones loved them! |

Talking of the canal! Does anyone know who owns the last allotment next to the canal towards Skipton? If they do could they tell them to stop putting their grass cuttings into the canal as this is illegal!!
Put them on their compost heap like every other law abiding citizen! |
