IMPORTANT PLEASE READ This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Topic : Why can't we see the revised plan in our local library? |
|
Peter |
This morning I received notification from Brad Met that the Development Plan had been revised and I can view the revised plans from various places and libraries - SILSDEN LIBRARY IS NOT ON THE LIST. Silsden, which is expected to take a disproportionate slice of new development under the UDP is being sidelined again. We have a library, we have a Mayor, we have now been declared a town but we are ignored. Brad Met want our money (council tax) but want to keep us in the dark as to their proposals. Come on Brad Met. Silsden exists and it is about time we were recognised. Peter |

The UDP changes affecting Silsden are now available on the Brad Met web site. You can link to these documents from this site at www.silsden.net/udp/silsdenUDPdirectory.htm We have picked out the documents which affect Silsden so there is no need to plough through the documents for the whole area. The documents should also be in the library. You have until Mon, 19 August 2002 to make objections or support submissions to the changes - these changes will affect you so make sure you have a look soon. |

I have lived in Silsden for ten years. The 'plan' was on the go then. Will it ever happen? From what I see off the map it does not look too bad. |

Replacement Unitary Development Plan - PUBLIC INQUIRY I have put the letter from Bob Lancaster (Programme Officer) on the site. The letter was sent to all registered objectors and raises some important issues which NEED YOUR FEEDBACK. The letter on this site can be downloaded and edited - this should make it easy to send your comments back for the Inspector to read. You can download the letter from www.silsden.net/udp/letter_BL/silsdenUDP_equiry_letter.htm You must be a registered objector to the UPD policies (so you should have a paper version of the letter already). You have until Monday 16 June 2003 to send back your comments. |

As you can see the revised UDP in the library perhaps you could change the title of this thread as it is rather misleading not to mention incorrect. |
