well I have just recieved a leaflet from the prospective conservative candidate, what a poor effort,there is no information about himself, his experience, where he comes form etc and not much on what he intends to do for us. |

He tell's you he is not from around here with his 01274 phone number and shows how scared he is of the independent candidate with a sly dig at a "lone voice" |

Could be from round here, 01535s have run out, so new silsden phone numbers start 01274, Could just mean he hasn't been round here very long.. |

I think he is from Shipley and stood for election in his local area in 2010 beating both Labour and Lib-dems. However his neighbours obviously still didnt want him to represent them and voted in, as is their right The Green Party. Looks a bit like all the main parties do, and found a safe seat for someone they rate rather than trying to get the people he lives in and around to support him. Local councils would run better without party politics and Councillors who have strong roots in the community they wish to serve. |

from what i can gather the candidate moved from labour ,he as i understand is still something to do with unions, unison i think.he comes from shipley hence the phone no. a lot of local knowledge he will have  typical tories  safe seat they hopeas safe as bfd for labour last week i hope |
