Well if nobody else will start it off I will.
The event went off very well, the people I saw around the Town seemed to be enjoying it all, so well done Silsden!
There was a few things on the T.V. that I didn't like.
Considering this was supposed to be showcasing Yorkshire to the World, the commentary was nothing short of shocking the mistakes far too many to mention them all, but to say Silsden was now part of Keighley was the worst, also why didn't I.T.V. get somebody who knew the area? they couldn't pronounce the names of far too many of the villages, and when the bikes went over the back beck bridge in Addingham they said they have just crossed the river Wharfe.
And can some cyclist tell me why the crowd have to squeeze in on the competitors at the top of hills to such an extent that they have to stop? I thought it was disgusting and disrespectful.

Well, yes, there were some comical errors but they were providing an overview for the whole nation and of some 130 miles worth of towns, villages, rivers, castles and hills and they do it in that detail for the whole tour.
As for the crowd thing, watch it in a week when they reach the Alps and Pyrenees - it's normal behaviour for cycling fans and it's expected by the riders. I wouldn't say they enjoy it but they expect it and don't see it as disrespectful.
Edit: just heard the coverage, he said "silsden which is virtually part of Keighley these days" - I think he meant geographically rather than politically!

And on another note, it's nice to see that after a few people moaning about the inconvenience etc, everything went off well and it was brilliantly supported. So well done everyone. (Although I was at work yesterday and waited 2.5 hours for an ambulance which was a bit annoying but no harm was done thankfully)

A FANTASTIC day out. Silsden did them proud. Everyone we spoke to had really got caught up in the feel of things. Amazed that there were so many visitors from far afield. All said they thought our little town was wonderful, so well done to the people that opened shops, trimmed up their frontages. This event really brought such a happy feeling to Yorkshire.
This morning on the news, Gary Verity said he had spoken to a rider spectator of some 40 years, he had never known anything like it, taken aback at the turnout they had received. Let's hope this feeling of warmth lasts for some considerable time, it did us all good.

Ted, possibly granddad didn't enjoy it? But Grandad did!
i was out there working to help the people of Silsden and the visitors in case any of them needed medical help.
If you had bothered to properly read my post you would have noticed that it was the T.V. I was complaining about, they whole thing was supposed to be to promote Yorkshire and they made us look as if we didn't even know our own county.

I thought I had seen all sorts. Travelling up Briggate this morning I could not believe my eyes.
One of our over zealous traffic wardens has actually stuck not one but two parking penalty notices on two port-a-loos left at the top of Briggate after Le Tour de France.

What is the world coming too!!!!!
