the road to brunthwaite and swartha and also thone over the tops to east morton are both deristricted as is hainsworth road. Some drivers seem to think that means they can drive at 60 mph if they want to, true they are not breaking the law but common sense has to come into it.I thin maybe the speed limits should be lowered on these roads, they are very narrow and quite dangerous, it seems ridiculous that there is no speed limit |

It isn't just the side roads where there are problems. Yesterday evening, there was a young chap in a white Astra type van going like the clappers along Kirkgate (both directions) with empty head music blaring out at full belt. Fortunately, not much about at that time. Also, young woman in a red Micra turning from the main road into Elliott St. on a mobile, picked her friend up and drove back to turn into Keighley Rd still with mobile in hand. High time there was a bobby sat on the "old mans bench ", they'd have a field day. Mobile users, no seat belts, and drinking tea whilst driving. All of which I understand are illegal. |

The yob in the white Astra van was probably the same one who was parked in Wesley place car park on Thursday night about nine thirty he had the music (If that's what they call music these days)booming out whilst he and his mates were riding their trials push bikes on the walls of the flower beds, I would say they were all about late teens early twenty in age. I would have got his reg but with the back door being open I couldn't see it from across the road, and as there were four of them I wasn't about to risk injury by confronting them. Get his number, report it to the police he should get a section 59 warning for using his van in an antisocial manner. |
