This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

it's just that twice today at different times a lorry was parked on the opposite side of the road to the roadworks on howden road and they were enjoying a spot of lunch, completely blocking off the road, and I would like to know if this is going to be a regular occurence.

50p????

i think they like to keep many jobs on the go
if they did a job from start to end they wouldnt be able to tender for as many jobs
but if they make a start its there job
i know some tradesmen work like this
(sparkys plumbers etc)

well thankyou for your support. probably a stupid question, but why can't the gas go straight in there instead of it being retarmaced and then dug up again?
and how long are they going to leave the hole outside the bookies, because that crossing is dangerous on a good day. however there is a lollipop lady starting there after half term
