I like many other parents have a concern over dogs roaming with no owner in sight, especially with my young children at the dogs height. I noticed a brown staffy with a collar but no owners about running around the fire station in silsden. Although it is probably a nice dog, I have a fear of their potential danger, especially of the breed & lock-jaw. I would appreciate all owners keeping their dog on a lead where there is a chance of children about - near schools, public paths. I felt silly turning and almost running with a toddlers & a buggy away from the dog and my child has picked up on how terrified I was. But to be honest I really |

Drury82 Yes all dogs should be under proper control and have a collar with the owners details on it at all times, however your reaction of grabbing your child and running away might be just the thing that makes the dog run after you, slowly and without to much fuss walk away keeping a look out for what the dog is doing, please don't pass your phobia of dogs onto your children. |
