the land owned by residents son whom wanting to sell to the council to build.Unhappy resident whoms specially adapted home for her 24hour care son house will become overlooked.Also wanting to remove very old oak tree that has bats living in so shes seeking help to make sure this tree stays.  |

The entrance/exit from Bolton Road to Dale View has always been an issue as far as safety is concerned and has always attracted a lot of public interest from Silsden residents. 14 new houses with the two cars (+ or -) that come with each house is another 28 cars adding to the junction that is already at it's limit. 2 - 3 story houses are totally out of keeping with the area and the bungalows surrounding it will be dwarfed. The front door of the houses at the bottom of the development will be at the level of the roof of the bungalow already there on Craven Court. Please follow the link on Peters post to object. Silsden has capacity for new houses - just not so many, in so little space and so out of keeping with the area. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Dont forget Three 4 bed houses have just been passed on Banklands lane which would make 17 more houses using Dale View to access Bolton road.An accident waiting to happen.I would like to know if the Town council are against the development,because they did not object to the three on Banklands lane. |

I agree and I accept that houses should be built - but why not in keeping with the area in which they are built and taking into consideration factors that effect other residents lives. Silsden has the capacity for more houses, I agree. Our views will be unaffected. |

Its a family members home but these houses will overlook her home they should be in keeping with the area at least she choose the location for the views over looking the park she has made her points accordingly.she seemed to thinkonly person with issues on the matter as neighbours some dont see any problem.We do need more homes agree but there plenty bits land coming into Silsden its obvious the owner of this land lives next door dosnt enjoy the view behind himself or money needed maybe whom knows. |

If you live to the South of Bolton Road and use Dale View for access to Bolton Road, if you consider the Dale View/Bolton Road junction dangerous you should make your views known to planning. 14 new houses will generate a significant increase in traffic at this junction. The planning statement considered this junction to be adequate for the likely increase in traffic. Friends tell trying to get out of Pickard Lane with cars parked each side of it up to Bolton Road junction is a nightmare, plus all the vehicles parked up to this junction on Bolton Road blocking the sight line. I thought that you should not park within 15 feet of a junction. Some cars have parked overlapping the bus stop! |

As I have said in countless other threads on this website, Silsden neither needs, nor wants new housing!! The infrastructure and services allegedly supplied by BMDC cannot and do not cope with the volume of people residing in this town now. As with the Town Hall sham, go and take a look at Bradford City Centre, then come and tell me that their planning is reliable eough to trust them. |
