It is nearly that time again, anybody who can spare a little time to help erect this years display, please come along. You will find our happy gang working along the main road from 8AM, Saturday 18th November. No previous experience required, we can find plenty to keep even those with a fear of heights busy. |

The Silsden Branch of Skipton Building Society; have given the Lights group a nice donation towards this years display. We all thank them very much for the generous gift. One of the young ladies in the branch has even offered to come along on the 18th to give us a hand putting them up. |

Hey Grandad, I've only just noticed... what's with the "Silsden Festive Lights" Is this the same as "Christmas Lights"? Why the political correctness, I celebrate Christmas the clue is in the word. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Fred, yes it is the lights which will be celebrating the festival of Christmas. I suppose it might have been better the call this post, "Silsdens Christmas festival lights"! But I thought that would have gone without saying. Never mind I try to please, by the way will you be coming down to help? |

Many thanks to all the people who helped with the erection of this years Silsden Lights. Not only the ones who did the work, but all those who in one way or another gave to this community cause, this includes the Punch Bowl; who provided the workers with a hot meal, the other businesses who gave warm drinks. Plus thanks to the numerous messages of support shown on other media sites |

Many thanks to all the people who have added to our Towns festive (Christmas) lights by erecting their own illuminations either in their windows or outside their property. |
