This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

I hear there was a traffic jam on Keighley Road as some blokes removed a large stone which stops access to Riverside Mill. The stone is now blocking the footpath. I understand the same people broke the lock of the gate.
Then some travellers, who must have just been passing noticed the open access and have set up camp in the mill yard!!!!

It was a mate that was stuck in the jam and he phoned the police. I would guess between 2-3pm

Perhaps Naylor Myers would be so kind as to use their fork lift to put the pot stone back before more caravans move back in!

Whilst no charges will ever be laid at the travellers you can bet if someone put the stone back there would be a court case in no time. This is the country we live in.
