this post has been edited 1 time(s) It is with sadness I am admiting defeat and closing the cafe immediately. A big thanks to all of you who stuck with us through these tough times and sorry to all the regulars i didnt get to say good bye too. Thanks Silsden for looking after me for 4 years Chris |

I think my wife was your last customer - she was touched by your generosity. It makes me sad to see another service to Silsden's public disappearing. I expect the UU roadworks can't have made things easy for you. I think the valuable thing I've learned today is that as a town we should all be supporting the businesses on our doorstep and standing up to the big corporations. Good luck - we'll miss you. |

is it a lease hold propertey? i you selling the lease we may be interested. Is all the fixtures and fittings included |

Hi - i am a bit busy over the next few days but if you call me on Tuesday evening or Wednesday, I can discuss it with you. Yes it is leasehold and yes most of the fixtures and fittings are included. I have an interested party but I will know by Tuesday if he/she is buying or not! The price is quite low! Just use the number above. |

Yes, shame about cafe 55 closing.What about the hard working staff who worked there - not paid,no redundaney,no information;not even the decencey to give them a reference so they can look for further employment ? |

The staff in the cafe were the owners biggest asset. To not pay their final wage or redundancy pay is an indication of the owner ignoring employment law and I hope they take him to a tribunal. |

as a member of staff for the last 4 years i have worked very hard to keep the customers of cafe 55 very happy!!!!! shame the boss didnt think so! hope i get what i am intitled to. |
