Hi anybody having problems with parking tickets from this company I recently parked in Keighley cavendish court car park got a ticket entered my reg no came back in the allotted time only to get a fine in the post a few weeks later I appealed (which was rejected ) because the machine in the car park had not printed my reg no on the ticket correctly (it had just printed a load of letters instead) Just wondering if anyone else has been scammed like this and if I should carry on fighting them Any advice welcome cheers |

Funnily enough i got a fine in the post last week and so did a friend of mine ! The machine had broken on the 5th April when i went and my reg was not correct on the ticket, i did manually correct this mistake and returned in good time.... not good enough for the ANPR .... i have appealed and if its rejected i will totally hit the wall.... no chance i am paying without a fight cheeky sods! |

I recently had a fine from that company too, but it was a different carpark. I got mine in the carpark where BMstores and Toymaster are in Keighley. I parked there on the 18/04/13 at 17.00 , paid 50 p for 1 hour and entered my registration but no ticket was produced. I could not get my money back either though and had no more change on me, as I needed to buy a new pair of shoes before 17.30. I placed a hand written note clearly visible in the windscreen to say where and how much and when I had paid and that the machine was faulty.So i thought i had done my bit , bought the shoes and drove home after 30 min only to receive a hefty fine of £40.00 a week later. I was furious and appealed, describing exactly whats happend, waited about 4 weeks to be told that it had been rejected. I should have rang them instead, i was told. I was then invited to settle the charge within 18 days or to face up to £ 100 if I tried to re appeal and be rejected again. I then paid up, still furious and asked for my 50 pence back . Since then i havent heard a word nor received an answer regarding my outstanding 50 pence. Watch these everyone. My new shoes cost me a fortune in the end. That is one carpark where I sure wont park again. Any advice welcome cheers |

Another rip-off so don't shop or park there,when the retailer's get reduced foot fall & till receipt's and it costs Excel more in staff costs than parking fines they will all soon evaluate the situation !!! |

Am important point to remember is that these companies do not issue fines, they are in fact sending you an invoice, challenge them, appeal by all means, they will have to take you to county court where a Judge will decide if the charge is fair. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Hi, I got one the other week, I appealed and sent them a copy of the ticket. I also told them I had no intention of paying as the machine was faulty and would be happy to see them in court.....they cancelled my fine by letter a few weeks later. if you still have the ticket just tell them you have no intention of paying as you have proof the M/C was faulty. Hope you get it sorted |

They lied to the news paper and made me sound stupid which was particulary infuriating. I paid the £10 admin fee but as i paid 1 day late they have fine me £60 again... I am appealing and if that is rejected i will tell them i am not paying as they are highway robbers !!!!!!!! |
