At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Does anyone have information about when Howden Hall was built, and more about it's history? I understand it used to house Royal Ordnance factory workers and even heard it housed prisoners of war at one time. I'd be interested to learn more. Thanks. |
