just been for a walk & came across a crowd of people at brunthwaite lane swing bridge, turns out a car had been parked on the brunthwaite lane end of the bridge, right in the path of the swing bridge arm, blocking it from being opened

a boat had been waiting 2 hours for the owners to turn up & move it, then a group of hikers got some posts & managed to shove the car further up against the wall by levering under the wheels, just allowing enough room to open & close the bridge. unfortunately for the car owners it wasn't 'quite' far enough resulting in the car door being damaged. also the car had been moved against the wall so tightly it would almost being worth hanging around to see the owner trying to reverse it back out

i'm in total sympathy with the boaters here, how someone could be dim enough to park there beats me
