IMPORTANT PLEASE READ This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. If you are intending to buy a new car buy it before April as the tax rates are changing. Any new car registered after April 1st with CO2 emissions above 0 CO2 will pay from £10 to £2000 in the first year and all cars above 0 CO2 will pay £140 from then on. This does not effect any car registered before April 1st. |

If your buying a car under £40,000 (before any discounts) with high road tax now, wait till 1 april, new rate only £140... |

Slim it is not as simple as that if the car gives out 255 g/km you will have to pay £2000 the first year and then £140 from then on, it is on a sliding scale. |
