I received the following from Marian Barker Hello - been taking a trip down memory lane. I lived in Silsden from 1949 until 1960. I now live in France but occasionally get back to Yorkshire. I write poems and you might like to read one from my blog mypoetry.blog.co.uk/2007/12/08/a_child_s_eye_view~3412976 My maiden name was Phillips and we lived at 10 Kent Avenue when it was first built. |

(from Marian Barker) *Someone has asked if I had any siblings - yes 4brothers: Robert Phillips Elwyn Phillips Andrew Phillips Godfrey Phillips Our next door neighbours were called George and Eileen Smith. Then next door to them lived my Auntie and Uncle (Bill and Violet Smith). Thanks - I don't know who *Coby1 might be! |

Our family the Drivers lived in Gloucester Avenue I seem to remember going to school with your brother Robert I was born in 1944. We all still live in Silsden along with some of our family. I have read some of your lovely poetry it must be wonderful to be able to puts words together in such a way. |
