This complainant came from Skipton to Silsden and is right to raise the issue. But wrong to singal out Silsden, Here is a quote from the letters page of The Craven Herald "Skipton is being made into a disgusting place to walk by dog owners. just read the link but cannot see any mention of silsden, where did that come from? |

I think it's probably something to do with this: www.keighleynews.co.uk/news/news_keighley/10657650.A_councillor_has_hit_back_at_claims_Silsden_is_a____disgusting_little_town___/ There is an individual(s) which seem to want to put Silsden down at the moment. There was a Silsden entry on Wikipedia which went on about dog mess - it has been removed, but it had NO PLACE on Wikipedia. There have also been anonymous complaints to Bradford (using other peoples details) about Silsden. Silsden is no different to many rural towns with great walking facilities and a large dog population, and it doesn't deserve this bad publicity. It's the dog owners which have to be educated. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Peter...the dog owners need to be "prosecuted", not "educated". Until this happens, nothing will change.  Other places are prosecuting, not talking about it. |

Just walked along Elliott Street towards the main road on school side. I am disgusted with the dog dirt, do you know it seems to have apeard since thursday when the children went back to school. |
