IMPORTANT PLEASE READ This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Does anyone know where i can get hold of a printed ordnance survey map of Silsden to be printed from the internet (location plan). I only need a copy of my street, size 1:1250 or 1:2500? |

You could try..... www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html Then do a screen capture via 'PrtScrn' or if on Windows 7 via the 'Sniping Tool'. There are also lots of free programs out there that allow you enlarge images. Regards. |

openspace.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/openspace/webmapbuilder.html You need to register first, BUT it's FREE .... AND it doesn't work with Internet Explorer. I use Google Chrome (I think Firefox will work as well). |

I think you have to pay through the nose for anything directly from the OS at that scale, but you can probably go to Keighley library & photocopy one there. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Try the link I have provided above, you have to register before you can use the the service but IT IS FREE. It's really a service for web designers to allow them to embed OS maps on websites. ![]() PS photocopying OS maps is contrary to the copywrite. |
