We are once again engaging in the annual Christmas lights erection in Silsden, this year we will be working on Saturday starting at 8.30 in the morning, and working until we have almost finished, possibly leaving a little to complete on Sunday morning, the need to get most of the work done on the Saturday, is because we have other commitments on Sunday afternoon, therefore if any of you feel like doing something for the good of Silsden, however little, please come and find our merry band, we will be somewhere along Kirkgate and around the top of the town |

hi grandad, what date will this be happening, and how many helpers would you be expecting, i may be able to do something for you but it wont be putting lights up, involves food!!! |

Sorry, I forgot to put the date on it, we are erecting then on the 28Th November. I am not sure if we will need much in the way of food, (eating gets in the way of working). some drinks, sandwiches and snacks might be a good idea, are you offering to supply it for free, or would you want paying? Not sure of how many helpers we will have on the day, but usually we have about 10 to 15 if we are lucky |

grandad we always want food . and beer if poss.hahahaha, it may be that we are to be fed free after weve put the lights up. with a bit of luck? |

grandad, my offer is to feed you for free of course, im the chef at the kings arms and thought if i couldnt help with the "erection" id could help this way, my suggestion would be after the lights have been put up, baring in mind i close at 6pm on a saturday, but in this case i can hang around for you, 10/15 would be ok, theyll be no menu to choose from, my thoughts are a beef chilli and rice, im led to believ andy conway is the one sorting the volenteers out so will make some enquires with him when he's back from his hols, or you could call in to the king and see me yourself. also i must point out its for the workers putting the lights up, and not for any "hanger oners" mantion anything for free and silsden comes out in force |

This sounds like an offer to good to miss, I am sure most of the helpers will be up for a feed. Chris if you could maybe pop in one day on your way home (For just the one mind!) and have a word on our behalf, I would much appreciate it, and you know what my shifts are like. |

im in every day except every other monday, just call in to see me and we'll sort something out, i tend to nip home mid afternoon to see the little en. but im just down the road so the bar staff can call me, just ask for sam, or grandad leave your number and ill call you?? |
