It is not so long ago that the airport was owned jointly by Bradford and Leeds council. If that were still the case it would make 'where's Jack' life easier. If I am not mistaken they also owned the public transport systems. Once local politicians had local control. No more. And whose fault is that? Chickens coming home. |

Yes chickens are coming home to roost.Leeds,Bradford and Wakefield councils jointly owned the airport and talked a lot about a railway station being built.This was in the 2004 masterplan the councils published but strangely neither the proposed trolley bus or Leeds Supertram were planned to reach the airport.Of course the councils did nothing with their masterplan. Following privatisation of the airport nothing has changed, there is no difference to policy between public or private ownership of the airport. |
