We are back at that time of year when sheep Are pregnant. If you have a dog, PLEASE keep it under control when you are near livestock. m.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/11766873.11_sheep_killed_in_savage_dog_attack_as_alsations_run_amok_in_field/ The dogs in this instance had been left unsecured in a yard. They should have been shot on site. THEY WILL DO IT AGAIN! A woman observed the attack. It doesn't say if she reported it or not. A lot more could and should have been done to stop this attack. |

This seems to happen every year despite the local farmers putting large notices on a lot of the public access routes to their land, people seem unable to understand the notices or they believe their dog will not revert to instinct. It is vitally important for all dogs, no matter how well trusted, to be on a lead when crossing or when near farmland at this time of year. If you cross through a field where there is a sign but no sheep or lambs, it is not the farmer taking the you know what, it is to warn that sheep and lambs could be in there anytime soon. Love your dogs? Time for the leads to be used. |
