| Silsden British Legion |
Silsden and District Royal British Legion are pleased to announce the amount raised for the 2014 Poppy appeal has reached £4,347.18, we would like to thank the good people of Silsden and the surrounding area for their great generosity and support for this years appeal. We would especially like to thank Silsden AFC for raising £617.61 from the WW1 football match and donating it to the 2014 Poppy appeal. As always a large number people gave their time and effort to help make Remembrance Day what it is and we would like to thank the following people: Co-op for allowing us to set up the poppy day table. Brender Lister and the ladies from St James for preparing the buffet. Stuart Johnstone for the eggs that went into a lot of sandwiches. Julie Newton for the hotpot. Chris Atkinson for the memorial gardens clean up. THANK YOU The Silsden and District Royal British Legion committee |
