Can anyone recommend where i can get a caravan awning repaired please. The seam needs resewing. Thanks |

You could try ringing Dickensons Caravans to find out if they could point you to someone. There was ages ago on here someone needing a tent zip repair but having trawled thru' can't find it. |

Could this be the one. not certain he is still there. Richard's at Howden Hall. He actually makes sails, but last year I put someone onto him for tent zip repair which he did for them. Smashing chap, will oblige if he can. Worth asking him as I'm sure he will do the job for you. Yes thats the one. Trouble is Richard now retired and at the moment is on the high seas crewing. Also I believe he sold all his tackle that he used for sail making. Thanks Middy for your help. |

Thanks Midway, Goildenoldie. If He isn't stranded on a desert island somewhere with nowt but a bottle of grog Ill give him a call when he returns. In the mean time people of Silsden, my search goes on. |

Not so local to Silsden but Mike Saul makes dinghy covers - I have one for my dinghy and it's very good (as well as a great repair on my dinghy). I'm not sure if he would do an awning repair though. He's often at Grimwith Reservoir near Grassington where we both sail, so you could probably meet him there rather than have to go all the way to Killinghall, if you're stuck for anything closer.
