The FA cup final at Wembley is a long way off but the competition starts this weekend. Silsden host Brighouse Town on Saturday kick off 3-00pm |

been down today and been shown around the new building(cheers eddie) a grand building  a credit to you all who worked so hard to make it what it isthe majorettes were holding their annual competition which was well attendedthey charged me a pound to get in(i dont know were they got that figure from )hope they have a good day and a sucsessful one in the compi understand yesterday wasnt that good gazzer better look next time |

I hear it wasnt that good yesterday and its true to say Silsden wont be playing in the FA Cup final.Or even playing Northallerton in the next round. However, today showed the benefits of the facilities. There was a big turn out for the Silsden All Stars competition and a charity football tournement was held on the adjacent pitches. When you think about it, its quite amazing how many events are held in and around Silsden, run by volunteers for the benifit of the community. From giving kids a chance to get involved in sport,to gala's, bonfire's, easter egg run through to cleaning the beck out(and everything I have missed) |
