just seen a notice outside the football club for northern soul, did not see when it was on and cannot find anything on the internet, does anyone have more details ? |

northern soul seems to be popular at the moment and good to see the club trying different things, the only drawback I can see is the date, valentines day, I imagine a lot of people will have other arrangements.I will spread the word , I did not notice on the board whether it gave a date and time presume it will be widely advertised ? I think there are websites dedicated to northern soul so an ad on one of them might pay off |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Sure it will go down very well the Black Bull in Sutton have soul nights and people travel from all over the country to attend them including some friends of ours from Sheffield, i have sent Dave Longbottom from Sutton a soul DJ friend of mine a text to let him know about it as i am sure he will want to attend it Dave has a slot on Drystone radio called spectrum of soul every Thursday 8pm till 9pm and plays some great soul music well worth a listen  |

There is an advert currently running showing a mature person returning to soul after bringing up family. Looks like they have picked up on a trend. Nice advert to watch, but actually as an advert pretty useless - I cannot remember the product!! |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) The DJ is our own James Jimi Ferguson who just joined the club this tear. His credids include, The Hacienda - Sanctury Bar - and he has a Friday evening slot on Drystone Radio. Enquiries are coming from far and near so hopefully will be a night to remember. Valentine night was spare Ginjo so like all other hirer. we need to take what is available. Im sure no one wIll be disapointed hillibilly, we are turning the club into a Northern Soul Bar along with Wigan Casino Dance footage on the big screen. So why not take your loved one down, order a pizza to be delivered and spoil the one you lurvvvvvv. If any of you techni fobes out there no how we could live stream it please get in touch. |

Tickets are going well obviously Valentine night so some people had plans but we are open till late so if you want to finish the night off and have a dance in a good atmosphere every one welcome we are only charging £3.00 a ticket and £5.00 a couple just to cover expenses, we are having request a song sheet so our guests can choose the music,a surprise quiz AND PRIZE that's were the answer can only be given from some one up dancing at the time, so it should be fun and some where else to go . Just 2 days to go to our inaugural Northern Soul Night. Starting around 8 o’clock till late. As well as the top DJ we have multi, large screen, early footage of the birth of Northern Soul from such venues as Wigan Casino. We are trying to transform the club into the theme of a "Northern Soul Club", good music, plenty of dance space, banners, spot competitions and an atmosphere to match any venue.
