Bradford council are consulting on a new local plan, it looks as if Silsden will double in size. The plan shows housing sites all over from just below the res to Brunthwaite bridge, down to the river and Jacksons fields to the west. |

Since April 2015 some 600 dwellings have either been built or planning permission has been granted. Some of the land shown for development is either unsuitable or not required because we already have half our allocation of dwellings. Where is the industrial development for jobs? Why are they building houses on industrial land? Why are we becoming a dormitory town for Leeds (there are no jobs in Bradford)? |

The words Bradford and consultation in the same sentence always makes me laugh, well it would if it wasnt so serious. Bradford dont do consultation I think the phrase is "lip service" |
