How many of these vans/pickups trawling round the streets hold waste carriers licenses or insurance? Talking to one of the neighbours on the back street one day last week, we saw 4 in less than an hour! I have nothing against personal enterprises, but for that number to be in a small area in one day, let alone an hour, is too much. |

I appreciate that. As I said earlier, I don't mind private enterprise, I'm all for it. All four vehicles where unmarked, ranging from ancient to relatively modern. In line with other postings many of these people are probably honest, looking to earn easy cash. On the other hand, my allotment has been targeted several times, costing me replacement tools and equipment. As usual, no witnesses, police can't do anything. |
