Last night saw a remarkable turn round in Silsden`s fortunes. They entertained Stockport Sports, the only full time club in the league and won a 2-2 draw. So, how do you win a draw? By coming back twice from being a goal down against a physical well drilled side with their hearts set on winning the league. A brilliant display in front of over 100 supporters by a team with an average age of around 21 learning their craft and playing passing, on the ground football. Next home game Saturday 7th September 3.00 v Bootle why not come and support your local team, all junior members are free and their parents half price. |

It was a good game with Silsden's 1st goal a cracker. No need to wait until September as Silsden are at home on Saturday August 31st to Maine Road. The Manchester club currently lead the league table with 5 wins out of 5, but Silsden are their bogey side. |
