Anyone know why we are being counted in and out of Silsden AGAIN! ... and what do they (whoever is doing the counting) do with all the statistics? Has the traffic changed that much over the last year. .... and where can we see the results of all this counting of vehicle numbers entering and leaving Silsden? |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) in any given week day, 12,445 vehicles enter silsden from addingham end and 11,898 leave the same way. 14,370 enter from the bypass end and 13,802 leave the same way. ...also, 76% of traffic passes through and never stops to use shops/amenities. 11% of all through traffic, excluding inhabitants, stop at least once to make a purchase (petrol, food etc) |

Is that why there was a long queue to Howden Road at 9.30am? Where were they counting? |

Alan, they are using the black strips across the road on Keighley Road, this side of the Aire Bridge, and there is another at the top of Skipton Road by the boundary sign and I assume at the top of Bolton Road (haven't been that way lately). If the two strips are close together they are counting, if they are about 1m apart they are being used to get your speed - these are close together. |

there are some on north street in keighley as well so it looks like its an area-wide survey & not just silsden |

Peter - it was just a joke. I am hardly the only person to go off topic am i? ...and i only react to offcumden and claymoaning when offcumden said "i don't care about anything you have to say" and claymoaning saying "does he think he's funny" But i apologise and i will behave from now on |
