IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Do any photographs exist of the "Silsden Underground Artillery Jazz Band" (great name!)which played in the 1920s/30s around Silsden?
There was a craze around this time for working class bands, using home-made instruments because nothing else could be afforded: they were known as "tommy talker bands" throughout the West Riding.
Only name known from the Silsden band is a Frank Hanson.
