what a shower of over paid dummy's we were supposed to have enjoyed this world cup but it has been torture all the way and wayne Rooney one of the best players in the world dont make me laugh  I will stop now or this will turn into a full blown rant. |

I think you're being very unfair. What did you expect when these poor guys are only paid £150,000 per WEEK and the manager gets a measley £6mil. No wonder they couldn't be bothered. |

While lots of people are daft enough to spend silly money on watching 22 blokes kick a ball in the Premier division then the present situation will continue. Trouble is football is now nearly a world religion. Go anywhere in the world (even the USA now as school soccer is big) and you will find more football pitches than churches. Historically the British, and especially the English have not been big on religion so the current state of British football is what one should expect. Play football by all means - it is a game to be played. If you only want to watch go local. But be truly English and stop praying to the Red, Blues, Greens etc. |
