Anyone know how I can find out about if the PCSO's regularly patrol on Keighley Road and perhaps more importantly the lane behind the Bridge Inn. Each weekend (increasingly so) since the weather has improved this area seems to be a bit of a hotspot for some unruly behaviour. I have started to keep a diary of incidents which occur. I have only been doing for the past few weeks but I have seen such things as young people fighting outside the houses on Keighley Road (the police were called about this but never showed up), a man urinating on someones doorstep (he even entered her garden to do this), Someone in my back garden shouting and swaering down the road and scaling my back fence and jumping over into Pennine Playgrounds. I understand a PCSO can't be inthis area all the time but it would perhaps deter people from some of these behaviours. |

you can see them at town hall on wednesday afternoons, not sure of the time I think its 2pm, or post a message in post office, there is a box next to the counter, I know it gets emptied regularly. Like you say though, they are spread so thin that its unlikely they can be there when needed.Maybe if enough people complain, the police could talk to the landlord of pub and ask them to cooperate in reducing bad behaviour, if there is persistant trouble, steps can be taken to close the pub. |

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I work on Wednesdays. But I was considering putting details of incidents in the box in the post office. I will start doing this as and when they happen. I don't a bit of drunken larking around, afterall I have been known to get a wee bit tipsy myself but some of this stuff is a bit too much. |

We have been having similiar problems with the people living across the road - broken glasses and foul language shouted out at anywhere between 1 and 3 in the morning. I didn't want to call the police as I am very concious that they have more important things to do but would it be appropriate for me to report it this way too? |

Thanks for highlighting this problem. When persistant unruly behaviour is brought to the attention of the Neighbourhood Police Team, it is given a HOTSPOT status, and will be dealt with. This was proven last year when we had a lot of bother down Sykes lane, everytime Youths went down there the NPT were on their tails. They have not been back todate. But it must be reported by everyone who sees it and not just one or two. The Landlady of the Bridge has always been cooperative and if you give her a ring discribing who is causing the bother she wil not serve them, that is if they are using the pub. I myself have seen so called adult males just urinating in broad day light because they are to lazy to walk to the toilets. I don't have a problem going up to them and telling them what I think or if they are to drunk I will wait until I see them sober, dressed up for work, or with their family's and then tell them how digusting they are in full view of women and children. The more we turn a blind eye to the unacceptical, the more it becomes acceptical. We have a choice in how we live.So please continue to report every little thing to the NPT and we can get somthing down about it. NB Does anyone think it would be a good idea to ask Peter to set up a page for highlighting such ASB. |
