Dear Kizzie, I've just returned to australia after holidays in yorkshire. Grew up in silsden, left in 1962 and this was first time back, my ggg grandfather was George Cockshott. My uncle has done a family tree for me but not sure if it's who you are looking for. He showed me a headstone in the graveyard of St. James' Church in silsden of a Cockshott which is my G.G. Grandfather, perhaps if you check out the parish records it may help you. |

Hi dany, I used to live in silsden and moved to Norfolk. I was god friends with your mum, Gill. Please say Hi to her from me won't you? You were a little boy when I knew you. Your dad, the fireman gave me a canary. I lived up Bolton road and had 2 kids (still have + one more) |

Unruly - I have noticed that you want to say 'Hi' to a few people on here, don't you think it would be better to tell the kids who you are so that when they tell their parent's you said 'Hi' the parents will know who you are! |

there used to be a family of Cockshotts that lived down aireview seem to think they emigrated to australia i lived 2 doors up from them and i remember the hens used to go in their kitchen |

HI I am a member of Ancestry.Com and have access to census records online, If you know the name of a Cockshott ancestor who was alive in 1901 (Great Grandfather perhaps)I can check the Census of Silsden for that year. Thats the most recent census available. JCG |

I was mates with kenneth cockshott and knew his brother frank as well .Frank was lame ,They lived at the bottom of aire view nr the liberal club.I think kenneth died quite some years ago ,They lost there mum and the father remarried . |
