IMPORTANT PLEASE READ This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Usual shambles, hole in road, no one working there apart from traffic lights man. Job could be done in a day, not 3 days. Disgrace. |

Hear hear, yet another example of utilities disorganisation. All that's missing is Bernard Cribbins! |

School buses couldn't turn into Elliot Street this morning and ended up causing grid lock as they sat and looked confused. |

just got back from silsden, like a ghost town no sign of any traffic lights? someone said that they were taken down almost as soon as they were put up |
|

The tree cutting on Keighley Road was because a tree came down in the early hours of the morning blocking the whole carriageway. It had been crudely chopped up and placed on the side of the road to open the road for traffic so I am guessing they were clearing up the debris from that. |
|
| ginjo |
I was referring to the 4 way lights at clog bridge not Keighley road |
|
| dogcatcher |
yes just been down myself and all lights gone what a waste of time setting up all those 4 ways lights for such a short time, should of left it as it was as nothing blocking main rd,just works at end of howden rd and elliot st. |

It looked like they were pulling out old cable so part of the BT exercise. Never a best time, without night shift overtime! |
