Your views are requested for the first silsden.net survey The walk/cycle ride from Silsden Town to Silsden Station ensures one gets the necessary daily exercise needed for good health. Unfortunately the 'death crossing' of the Aire Valley Trunk Road and/or the need to compete with traffic ensure to many people still use cars. A dedicated cycleway and bridge (a tunnel would need to be super sealed) would eliminate these risks. www.silsden.net/survey/index.htm |

Driver 'not to blame' for woman's death From the T & A 30/10/07 A woman was killed when she tried to walk across a duel carriageway late at night, an inquest heard today. it was suggested at area planning meeting for development down sykes lane that the money that developers would have had to spend installing proposed traffic light system should go towards footbridge over byepass the reason if i remember correctly for the developers getting out of this was because there wasn`t a proposal in place to erect a foot bridge although they are giving each new resident a metro card valid for one year after that they will have to risk life and limb like the rest of us |
