This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

A week after the road has been surface dressed and we have half a zebra crossing repainted, this really is not good enough. There are cars parked where parking should be restricted, lose gravel everywhere.

What has to happen before something is done?

Already a lady has been knocked down which appears to have got us half of 3 crossings painted, did they run out of paint?

This really is not good enough. You really can't blame car drivers for not stopping at zebra crossing when the only thing denoting the crossing even exists is a couple of faintly flashing beacons.

they had done all 3 crossing, I am not sure if they have done the parking restriction lines or not, I was too busy concentrating on not mowing them down at the time (they're were two of them in the middle of the road and blocking one lane off with their van)

Why is there no anti skid surface approaching the bottom crossing from the canal bridge...Did they tarmac over it?
