Topic : what can we do about the car racing down ryefield way |

every night from 7pm till late the cars gather in the cul de sac on ryefield way they disgard all their mc donald wrappers and empty bottles then race cars and abuse any one who dare walk down with their dogs they ve also broke some of the trees planted i know i and many others have reported them to the police but nothing seems to be done what can we do help |

(had to look on google maps to find were it was) yup this was the site of the not so superbike gp's earlier in the year to which i got a telling off for calling them so called hells angels it was also said that at least there not doing it on normal streets as i said at the time the only place for racing around at breakneck speeds is on a race track |

I would suggest report everything you see, even if you do not see it happening yu can still report it. Pop a letter each time something happens into the police box in the post office. And I beleive they have a drop in time on a Wednesday in the Town Hall where you can talk to one of the policing team. I started doing that about trouble on Keighley Road of an evening and the situation has slowly improved. If they get enough comments about a particular area then they hay to take that area more seriously but if noone gives them any comments then chances are they won't know it's happening. |

Nothings being done because the police in yorkshire are SH*T they only want to arrest people who are in the park but they wont dare arrest people who are the same size as them! WIMPS!!!  |

Minutes after the call came in to Police Re; cars and youths on Ryefield Way the Police went to Ryefield. There were no cars there. There were 3 boys and two girls, two of the boys were playing on their bikes.When spoken too, all were very polite explaning they were just playing out of the way so they didn't bother anyone. Another check was done in the area later on and there still was no problems AND NO CARS. Not long after that a group of older youths were approached in the park, their drink was confiscated and distroyed. They were not causing any bother at that time. There was 5 other over 18's sitting on a bench having a few beers and having a chat, they were asked to put their empties in the bins. Again no bother at that time and they were not breaking any law's. Having just left the park a call came in to say youths were in the park drinking and causing problems. So WELL DONE to the Police for dealing with it BEFORE it was reported to Police. And the Ryefield Issue IS continually being observed. So T1CH who did you want them to arrest?. |

They are down there all the time - in fact one car nearly landed in that hedge right across the junction with hainsworth road. at least they dont park on the pavement. |
