This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Anyone know what they are doing. Being new do not know what the planning permission is for. Looks like adding offices of flats.

NOTE
Normally you can see details of planning applications online here
www.bradford.gov.uk/bmdc/the_environment/planning_service/planning_applications/public_access_for_planning.htm

However, the facility is being updated and won't be available until 15th February. sad :(

I have made a permanent link to the Bradmet planning page which is the starting point for all things to do with planning, see the site menu:
Town Council > planning

Ha, misleading BradMet notice. BUT it looks like the service will not be available from 2 Feb - 15 Feb.

For now you can see the information here

Looking at the proposal it is the usual thing of cram as many flats into a small space as possible. Who are these people who want to live in a shoe box sized flat? Even if I was single I wouldn't want soemthing so small, and it is not as if the property in Silsden in so expensive that you can't afford to buy or rent anything bigger.

I have no problem with flats if it keeps the carpet shop in town.Better than the building standing empty or converting into another takeaway!!

I know its late but ive only just joined this site.
Ive been working on the flats and they are quite spacious, especially the one above the shop and have good views.ideal for first time buyers to get a step on the ladder!!
And as has been said above the shop remains and isnt another takeaway!
