Will Ford is competing in the Berlin Marathon on 26th September 2010. Will completed the Leipzig marathon last year in 4 hours 32 minutes. This year he wants to improve on his time and to make a difference by raising money for The Prostate Cancer Charity. Please support Will by donating online at www.justgiving.com/will-ford Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK affecting around 36,000 men each year. The Prostate Cancer Charity was founded in 1996 in response to the urgent need to increase investment in prostate cancer research and to raise public and political awareness of a long neglected disease. The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK’s leading voluntary organisation working with people affected by prostate cancer. |

One in every nine women in the UK will develop breast cancer at some point in her life - more than 45,000 cases are diagnosed each year. It has become the most common cancer in the UK, and is the leading cause of death for women aged 34 to 54. Breast cancer research is well funded. BUT the need for research into PROSTATE CANCER is almost forgotten. THE CANCER IS THE MOST COMMON CANCER IN MEN.  CANCER OF THE PROSTATE - a walnut-sized gland located next to the bladder - is the most common cancer in UK men, with more than 35,000 new cases a year. Prostate cancer is genetically linked to breast cancer.
