Approx £1000.00, per week.

£1.000 a week , we have 11.000 residents in Silsden that would work out at 9p each a week for local fire protection , i dare say i could throw my 9p in to hat for that . |

Dream on,lets say 20 firemen all getting paid at least £50 per week on average thats £1000.A new appliance must be £50000 the running costs and maintainance must be £10000 a year,the building etc.I dont think you would get much change from £20000 per week. |

Silsden fire station doesnt just cover Silsden,what about Addingham,Steeton,Eastburn,Airedale Hospital,Kildwick and offers back up to the whole of West Yorkshire and Craven. Cheap as chips really |

Ya its about 250.000 for the year,pretty cheap if your house is burning down and your trapped inside wouldnt you say. |
