You just know, don't you, with any of those planes. That engine noise, the hairs go up, and you search the sky. I'm too young to have heard it when it really meant something, but even so . . .

Think it might have been the one flying low over Bingley for the Bingley Show.
I saw it fly over twice it was really low & have never seen anything like it! Looked like a big bomber ww2 plane. It was great!

Judging by Bricol's timing, the Lancaster was heading for the Southport Airshow, held on the beach. It teamed up with a Hurricane for the traditional Battle of Britain Flight. It was followed by the Vulcan that put the crater in the Port Stanley runway, and then the Red Arrows. All of them superb.
