This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

I am looking for information on Sgt B.Boothman RAF who was a member of the aircrew of Lancaster Bomber LM381 E2 of 576 Squadron stationed at Elhamwolds Linc in 1944.My brother was part of the crew and I am researching his wartime experience. Any information would be gratefully received. Thank you for the information below, itis very much appreciated. I have some more details of Brian's my brothers last flight, which I am happy to share. I would very much like to make contact with Ben, to hear his experience. Please feel to contact my email ghclarke38@googlemail.com.

This PDF document might help - you will need Acrobat reader to open it.

Flight LM381 is on page 177

I have been researching a family member who was based at Elvington near York - which is now a museum.

Hi,
The Ben Boothman that you are talking about is my great uncle and he is still alive and living in Silsden. I could get you a phone number for him if you wish as I dont really want to put any address details on here without his permission.
I remember when I was younger he used to talk to us about when their flight crashed and the two survivors were taken as POW's and my grandad (Ben's brother) used to talk alot about it.
