Anybody know what happened to 'King Ben' of Silsden, the noted arm wrestler of the town. he shot to fame after several appearances on the Fred Trueman pub contest show on Yorkshire Television in the seventies. He was a man of immense strength and was champion for a couple of series. Also, what was his real name?

Boothmans farm was down Hainsworth road just before you got to the gas works on the opposite side of the road, Fieldens farm was the first farm as you came under the canal bridge

old benjamin boothman farmed under the culvert with his sons when he moved there from steeton. stanley (dad of david, philip and tim) moved up to farm at brunthwaite in 1941 after marrying and remained there until his death last year. david and tim still live in brunthwaite
