This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

It looks like Airedale are cutting stroke care and moving beds to BRI.It also looks like our MP supports the decision.

“When it comes to stroke, time lost is brain lost.

I couldn't agree more Gazzer. It is closing Airedale General Hospital down by stealth. Last year it was the dementia ward, although they did spend a nominal amount on A&E, which does now look a lot better. Maternity and labour ward are understaffed and under funded, dermatology doesn't exist in Airedale, ENT are all at Bradford, nurse training looks to be down sizing. What's left? If I have to go for the eye specialist appointment, I have to go to Beeston.

Im not fussed about ENT being at Bradford, im pretty sure it never was at Airedale. Not in the last 30 years anyway. However when they start cutting emergency stuff something needs sorting.

Would love to raise this with Kris Hopkins on Twitter but he has blocked me.
Do our district and town councillors have a view on this?
